Title I of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act provides financial assistance to schools to meet the needs of at-risk children.  The goal of Title I is to provide instructional services and activities which support students in meeting the state’s challenging performance standards.  The purpose of this title is to ensure that all children have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education and reach, at a minimum, proficiency on challenging State academic achievement standards and state academic assessments.
