Silver Strand Students made their Chicken Challenge Goal!

Silver Strand students made their goal in the Chicken Challenge!  More than half of the students in grades K-1 spent at least a half-hour per week on Ticket to Read (T2R) and more than half of the students in grades 2-5 worked on Compass Learning (CLO) for an hour per week during March, April and May!

Results for March:  K-1 Students T2R = 67%, 2-5 Students CLO =54%

Results for April:  K-1 Students T2R = 64%, 2-5 Students CLO = 57%

Results for May:  K-1 Students T2R = 75%, 2-5 Students CLO =59%

To reward Silver Strand's students for all their hard work and dedication Mr. Cass, as promised, dressed up like a chicken and led the entire school in the Chicken Dance at this week's Friday Flagpole Assembly!

Additionally, classrooms in grades K-1 and 2-5 with the most hours spend on T2R and CLO during all three months will be rewarded with a Chick-fil-A luncheon on Tuesday, May 31.  The winners are...Mrs. Lavage's Kindergarten Class & Mrs. Hatheway's 3rd Grade Class...Congratulations!
